Amy Nicholson FilmWeek (KPCC - NPR Los Angeles) So lazily constructed that I was not sure where it was going for the longest time. Aug 21, 2021 Full Review Matt Zoller Seitz RogerEbert.com It's too slow, disorganized, and muddled to make coherent points, and it often has to remind itself that it's based on a fairy tale. Rated: 2/4 Aug 13, 2021 Full Review Lisa Kennedy New York Times As satisfying as Huppert is, the movie dances on the pinpoint of de Laâge's performance. Aug 12, 2021 Full Review Todd Jorgenson Cinemalogue There's not much depth behind Fontaine's edgy intentions, leaving a well-acted and wildly uneven tale that brings the physical heat while the emotions remain chilly. Aug 27, 2021 Full Review Armond White National Review Through Claire, Fontaine makes us wonder about standards of individual and social propriety. By fable's end, Fontaine surpasses the Brothers Grimm to acknowledge French cinema's romantic legacy. Aug 27, 2021 Full Review Leo Brady AMovieGuy.com It seems like it would be difficult to screw up telling the story of a classic fable, but White as Snow never finds a purpose to exist at all. JoAnn B Loved the movie, and the Snow White theme. It ws a perfect ending, Maude got her comeuppance as she should have. Did not care for her however, she was convincing but Claire was brilliant and stole the show! Everyone in the cast was excellent and believable. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 08/24/21 Full Review Jim R Well-executed trash disguised as "art house". At this juncture it would seem Isabelle Huppert wants to become the French Norma Desmond. Though not destined for icon status, Lou does have her good points, all two of them. Pandering, smarmy, slick, sick, idiot's delight. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 10/24/24 Full Review Ihor P Kept me engaged. Acting excellent. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 05/08/23 Full Review Read all reviews
