John DeFore The Hollywood Reporter The actors do what they can with this slim material, but there's much less tension between the characters than the premise demands, and what twists the script does possess arrive too late to matter much. Mar 30, 2019 Full Review Noel Murray Los Angeles Times The film, like its title location, becomes just another featureless box, designed to agitate and confound anyone who enters. Mar 28, 2019 Full Review Anton Bitel Sight & Sound a time-leaping narrative structure interrogates the viewer's prejudices, turning the tables on our moral orientation to reveal the double game that almost everyone here is playing. Aug 7, 2018 Full Review Terry Mesnard Gayly Dreadful It's pretty wishy-washy and for a movie that seems to be a political sci-fi thriller Rated: 2.5/5 Jul 16, 2019 Full Review Alex Clement HeyUGuys Minimalist in everything but ambition, this horror film intelligently explores complicity and surrender in a dangerously possible near future. Rated: 3/5 Jun 5, 2019 Full Review Amber Wilkinson Eye for Film Just as you begin to worry that the conceit might not last the running time, things move in a different and unexpected direction. Audience Member A bit confusing sometimes but entertaining enough. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/24/23 Full Review Audience Member Bland. boring. Hated characters. Acting wooden. Writing terrible. Fast forward through most of the movie. Extremely disappointed. Normally, I like Odeh Farad. Not this movie. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 01/31/23 Full Review Audience Member Although I gave this only two stars, I've found myself more annoyed/offended/angered by movies I've given two and a half. This is a low-budget dystopian sci-fi story, plagued by over-acting and over-used special affects. The story concept is interesting enough: a government-funded research laboratory works to develop a chemical weapon that will end a savage war threatening its nation, using enemy prisoners as test subjects. Plenty of room for moral-twists-and-turns - as well as the occasional gore splatter (not too often though). Ultimately, this feels like it should have been done better, as in less over-acting, more of a cold thriller than a half-hearted attempt at torture-horror. However, as someone who craves good sci-fi, I appreciate the effort. White Chamber will never win any awards - but it might create ideas other movie can feed off of... Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/12/23 Full Review toby h White Chamber starts with an interesting concept, but tails off as it attempts to become something else. We guess it would be classed as a political sci-fi, but there is no ambition on show. As plain as the bland title suggests. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member It was hard to follow at times, who was on what side, who died, turned, etc. And it was hard to understand what they were saying at times. The actress was just to jumpy and almost humorous to watch at times when she would get emotional. It did keep you entertained at times and wanting to see an outcome; which was dead at the end. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 01/24/23 Full Review Audience Member Dumbest movie ever, I had it on for 10 minutes and it was stupid. There's really no plot in the beginning at all. It starts with a man torturing a women with artificial intelligence, which they both discover that she is no use for his plans and she doesn't know any info on whatever he's trying to achieve yet he continues to torment an innocent girl for no reason..... it's dumb waste of my time tbh Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 01/18/23 Full Review Read all reviews
