      Who Killed Nancy?

      What to Know

      Critics Consensus

The titular question remains unanswered. We still don't know after this inconclusive, and shallow investigation into the seedier depths of Punk.

Audience Member I can't express how much I love this doc. It was a very nice analysis on the murder, which gets you thinking. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/12/23 Full Review Audience Member Is more of a documentary about Sid and Nancy's relationship than anything else, but it does indeed raise some interesting and valid concerns about elements of the murder that simply don't add up. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 01/12/23 Full Review Audience Member Interesting, but is more about Sid than Nancy, and raises more questions than it answers. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/22/23 Full Review Audience Member Absolutely convincing, but leaves some sloppy, unanswered questions. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 02/06/23 Full Review Audience Member I wasn't really sure what to expect from the film going into it. In the end, there are no definite answers to the question but there are bits of information I'd never heard before which brought up other possibilities other than the standard "Sid did it" response. Based on that, I found it worth watching. There's also some interesting animation throughout. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/24/23 Full Review Audience Member glad the truth came out. too bad it was 30 years later and only those without voices care. Owen Gleiberman Entertainment Weekly It plants resonant doubts. Rated: B+ Aug 11, 2010 Full Review V.A. Musetto New York Post Fails as a detective story, but it does offer an entertaining look at the punk scene in the 1970s. Rated: 2/4 Jul 30, 2010 Full Review Jeannette Catsoulis New York Times Cares less about investigating a death than about vindicating an accused killer. Rated: 3/5 Jul 30, 2010 Full Review Benjamin H. Smith Decider While often amateurishly put together, and with an annoyingly loud soundtrack which makes it seem like a music video at times, Who Killed Nancy is still a decent viewing experience for anyone interested in the subject matter. Nov 12, 2019 Full Review Ron Wilkinson Monsters and Critics The film is as much about who killed Sid Vicious as who killed Nancy Spungen, but an enthralling and touching story all around. Rated: 7/10 Aug 2, 2010 Full Review Cole Smithey ColeSmithey.com Cheesy exploitation punk rock history takes a random path around the mystery of Nancy Spungen's death...
