      Critics Consensus

A juvenile, uninspired retread of Caddyshack, Who's Your Caddy? is unoriginal, unfunny, and just plain forgettable.

Steve D The end of Love Story was funnier. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 02/12/23 Full Review Audience Member Frivolously inept prompt of agreeably ripping off "Caddyshack" with immaturely juvenile execution that decreases uninterestingly due to generational shame being stereotypically driven, whilst only shot few rare humorous bits. (C-) Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/17/23 Full Review christopher c. m I am convinced that this movie started life as "Caddyshack 3" but after "Caddyshack II" failed at the box office, it sat on a shelf until 2000s where it was tweaked and reworked as this. Big Boi does a great job as our protagonist. Some of the other characters can be really annoying and there are some gross out jokes I think we could have passed on. Also, I wish this could have done better if it went the full R like Caddyshack and not PG-13. Rappers work better in stories that don't have the restrictions of one f-bombs and no nudity. But it's still fairly good. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member Ages 13+ only; funny and romantic!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Katey Rich CinemaBlend The lackadaiscal plot, cheesy jokes and lack of originality make Caddy nothing more than a trashy comedy, but at least it's occasionally an entertaining one. Rated: 2.5/5 Aug 4, 2014 Full Review John Maynard Washington Post Black people playing golf? Outrageous! Jun 3, 2013 Full Review J. R. Jones Chicago Reader The players appear to be having a good time, though the situation is too sitcom-familiar to be funny. Dec 3, 2007 Full Review Corey Hall Metro Times (Detroit, MI) Who's Your Caddy isn't just a wretched exercise in formulaic hack writing, lazy acting and appalling stereotyping -- it's also just sort of icky. Rated: D- Jun 3, 2013 Full Review Ken Fox TV Guide [A] depressing, stereotype-filled reworking of Caddyshack. Rated: 1.5/4 Jun 3, 2013 Full Review Tom Meek Boston Phoenix Nearly every element of the plot rips off the mangy 1980 comedy Caddyshack, right down to Ted Knight's controlling country-club patron and Rodney Dangerfield's nouveau riche upstart.
