Tim Cogshell CineGods.com Indeed, one of the first misnomers that the documentary corrects is that horses are not native to North America – they are. Rated: 3/4 Apr 27, 2023 Full Review Richard Schertzer Battle Royale With Cheese It’s almost impossible to find any flaw in the film with such a well-crafted call to action that brings tears to the eyes as well as justice for horses everywhere. I certainly enjoyed this film and I’m sure you will, as well. Nov 22, 2023 Full Review Joey Moser Awards Daily Wild Beauty: Mustang Spirit of the West is gorgeously shot and passionately directed, and Avis provides enough first-hand evidence to infuriate you. Oct 30, 2023 Full Review Calan Panchoo Film Threat At its very foundation, the film suffers from the age-old failing of telling but not showing. Rated: 4.5/10 Jun 6, 2023 Full Review Joel Fisher Battle Royale With Cheese Every point and counterpoint is carefully thought out in Wild Beauty, ensuring it will become a documentary that will make you think and perhaps even do something to help. Jun 5, 2023 Full Review Jennifer Green Common Sense Media It's hard to take issue with the goals or the final product here. The beauty of the natural vistas across the Western and Northwestern states and the documented injustices in the treatment of wild animals makes for persuasive documentary material. Mike D Powerful look into the wild horse roundups and their results. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 12/19/23 Full Review Judy J ‘Wild Beauty' is a hugely important and impactful film with gorgeous cinematography. I urge everyone to see it with all due haste because the plight of our wild horses in America is truly an urgent one. Time is literally of the essence. Already too many of these majestic beings have been lost in tragic ways due to our government working directly at odds with the legal mandate to protect them. This has happened because not enough people have been aware and not enough people have spoken up. Please learn what is happening to YOUR wild horses on YOUR public lands with YOUR tax dollars. How your public lands are being depleted by removing the horses in favor of huge numbers of privately owned livestock allowed on your lands for private gain. Horses have served humans for more years than we can count, all too often losing their lives in service of us. Therapy horses help traumatized people gain confidence again. Horses are truly special beings that don't deserve to be captured via terrifying helicopter raids, penned up indefinitely in depressing conditions, all too often separated from their family members, and all too often finding themselves sent off for slaughter in Mexico and Canada. Ashley Avis and team put so much time, effort and heart into this film. All the rest of us have to do is watch it, time that I promise will be very well spent. You will gain so much knowledge and insight during the mere hour and a half that you take to watch this film and you will find that it's very easy to help be a voice for the horses while at the same time being a voice for your tax dollars. There are many simple, quick ways to weigh in. Please, please see this film, now in June 2023 readily available not just at screenings but also including at minimum via Amazon and Apple TV. It will take you less time to see this crucial film than you often spend stuck on hold on the phone waiting to talk to a representative of whatever company you are calling. Trust me, this will feel infinitely more meaningful. Together we can finally put a halt to the cruelty. Judy Jengo Rated 5 out of 5 stars 06/29/23 Full Review Mike M Wow. Mind blowing and incredible. This begins with beautiful imagery or horses at stunning sunrises and sunsets. However, as it progresses, it begins to hit and hit hard. The impressive imagery is matched by the impressive journalism and the stunning facts this doc shares with people like like self that did not know the scope of the issue. This is an eye opening doc that not only shines a light on the wild horses but the government as a whole. If this is happening with horses, imagine what else we don't know. Start learning right here. Incredible Rated 5 out of 5 stars 05/24/23 Full Review Pam S Beautifully executed, deeply anguishing. A very important voice for the voiceless. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 05/19/23 Full Review Pam R This movie highlights the inhumanity that our wild horses face daily. Most animal-loving people do not realize the that our government is killing these horses in order to placate livestock farmers. It's a travesty. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 05/16/23 Full Review Barbara M The truth is not always pretty. Ashley Avis and her crew found and exposed the truth about the inglorious way the iconic American Wild Horses and Burros are being mismanaged and mistreated by the very agency that is paid to protect them. From lovely filming of the beautiful public land on which these horses roam to the jammed, filthy, dangerous incarceration pens where they are held when they are cruelly, brutally and dangerously rounded up Avis shows truths and backs it up with testimony from expert witnesses. This is not an easy film to watch but it is a necessary film to educate every American. Kudos to Avis and her crew for going where they were not welcome, tolerating the rudeness and deceptions and bringing the truth to the people who need to see and hear it. Don't miss this one.
