Brian B Robert Duvall what else needs to be said. Great actor. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/21/24 Full Review Audience Member Most of the acting was ok... its not the type of movie that requires truly dramatic acting (though maybe thats what it needed). The main problem is the lack of a main story arc, and a jumble of several internal arcs that were simply incoherent. It's just one of those movies that doesn't really do anything... no tugging on heart strings... no suspension of disbelief... no wrapping you up in the protagonist... no clear antagonist... Just not a good film. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 01/30/23 Full Review jelisije j Robert Duvall written and directed this film and no disrespect to the actor but it seems like he had too many ideas and characters for this movie. Robert introduced so many plot lines and characters that he would've been better off writing a 10 episode tv series than a crammed up 1 hour and 48 minute movie. Had potential but ultimately it was a waste of time. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member I loved the horses and the ranch scenery, but, the whole story seems off and all over the place that even Robert Duvall can't carry it Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 01/13/23 Full Review Audience Member So much talent! Duvall plays his stereotypical crusty old country man with Franco as his gay son that he never accepted. Texas rangers pull open a cold case file and the family secrets come out (racism, homophobia). But you're not drawn in...it's sterile. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 01/12/23 Full Review Audience Member The scenery is beautiful. The plot is ok. There is some bad acting in it which makes the movie painful to watch. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 01/12/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating

Godfrey Cheshire RogerEbert.com A complex, ambitious genre piece that combines family drama and murder mystery, set in the south Texas ranch country. Rated: 2.5/4 Jun 5, 2015 Full Review Robert Abele Los Angeles Times [Duvall] loses the thread - and our attention - one too many times in a sea of lackluster conversations and unremarkable plot strands. Jun 4, 2015 Full Review Stephen Holden New York Times Could Robert Duvall's incoherent melodrama "Wild Horses" have been salvaged by a skillful editor? Probably not. Jun 4, 2015 Full Review Brian Orndorf Blu-ray.com It's a mess, a complete and utter mess, but shockingly, the movie is rarely dull, embracing just enough of Duvall's dedication to realism to make it bearable. Rated: C Jun 11, 2015 Full Review Alexander Lowe We Got This Covered While far from perfect, Wild Horses has strong enough performances from its leads to make it an enjoyable and worthwhile modern western. Rated: 3/5 Jun 1, 2015 Full Review Justin Gerber Consequence There isn't even anything wrong with this being a bad movie; it's just too bad that it is.
