Matt Zoller Seitz RogerEbert.com "Willie and Me" is made from love and a dream. I've rarely rooted harder for a movie to succeed or been sadder when it didn't. Rated: 1.5/4 Feb 12, 2024 Full Review Frank Scheck The Hollywood Reporter Hassmann has crafted an engaging showcase for herself with her debut feature as a writer, producer, director and star. Sep 18, 2023 Full Review Pat Padua Spectrum Culture Despite ludicrous plot points and a protagonist who’s thinly drawn — albeit by design — this shaggy meditation on music is inevitably kind of endearing, at least for Nelson fans. Rated: 2.5/5 Apr 17, 2024 Full Review Dennis Schwartz Dennis Schwartz Movie Reviews What it has going for it in spades is a whole lot of silliness. Rated: C Feb 23, 2024 Full Review Todd Jorgenson Cinemalogue This lumbering fish-out-of-water comedy at least benefits from having Willie Nelson’s extensive song catalogue serenading almost every scene. Feb 9, 2024 Full Review Josh Bell Crooked Marquee German actress Eva Hassmann's love for Willie Nelson exceeds her filmmaking skills in her writing and directing debut.
