Richard J Despite the three stars, I actually enjoyed this movie a lot… Until the final act. The movie simply ends with an unsatisfying wimper after a high stakes poker game and a heart attack. The whole heart attack thing seemed like an easy way to Prevent the lead from hitting the tables again, and when he shows up at his girlfriends house after running from the hospital, the movie ends with him sitting down at the table and starting to eat. Wait, what? That's it? Everything seemed just too contrived and convenient in the final scenes of the movie, which is a shame considering how good everything else was. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 10/19/22 Full Review kevin c Jake Johnson plays a gambler who loses more than he wins. When an unsavoury friend entrusts him with a duffel bag full of money to keep safe while he does six months in prison, his instincts and bad luck take over. This is not the usual gambling movie as the usual formula isn't used. This plays out a bit differently and is the better for it. Johnson is believable in the lead. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member Win It All is a heart wrenching and heartwarming story of a compulsive gambler. It felt like a cross between the movie Swingers and Rounders, but avoided the stereotypical plot devices in movies of those genres.. I honestly had no idea what was going to happen next. Great movie. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/15/23 Full Review Gianmarco R Film a little flat and banal but still exciting and entertaining that manages to make you become attached to the protagonist at stratospheric levels. The plot is a bit flat but very logical and therefore not tired, but still you notice that something is wrong Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/03/22 Full Review Audience Member Jake Johnson leads a great cast in an understated 90-minute movie. Well-written and well done! Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 02/11/23 Full Review Audience Member Thought I'd like this movie because it starred Jake Johnson and was about gambling, but I just couldn't get into it. Maybe it was the fact that I expected comedy from a movie that ended up having no jokes. Or it could've been due to the fact that all of the results in the movie felt unearned. This is one of those movies where you can just read the wikipedia summary and move on with your life. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 01/30/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating
