Tammy and Susannah haunted R @TammyandSusannahsreviews 5d Susannah: Going into this blind, my friend and I thought it would be scary. . . WRONG They rarely show ghosts. When they do it just flashes for a couple seconds. The best part was the music and the gothic tones. Not scary at all, just entertaining ideas. Tammy: watching this i saw the trailor alone it seemed like a good horror\thriller movie, however it was rather dissapointing. The story line felt as if it gave the main charecters no developement and no reason to be in the setting; the plot was genuinly confusing. Along with the plot the only good bit about it were the music and suspension scenes. i found it VERY boring. IN A NUTSHELL This movie was pretty confusing and boring, was not scary, and overall just annoying... The best part was the music and the popcorn we ate while watching it. See more R T @RT80239937 May 16 I liked the feel and flow of this movie. I found the concept of constantly building and rebuilding a house fascinating. I loved the cast, perfect. This movie didn't rely on a gazillion cheap jump scares, although I like jump scares. It had a good storyline. Intelligent quality movie I watched through to the end and will watch again.. so many modern movies I start only to ditch ten minutes in these days. See more Penny L @LadyOfTheLawn Jan 4 A gothic house, a grieving heiress, and Winchester starring Helen Mirren should have been a triumph Let us speak of the accents. They are not merely bad; they are geographically untethered. A sort of haunted, theme park American that belongs nowhere on earth and certainly not San Jose, California. I am not American, yet I found myself cringing on behalf of Americans everywhere, particularly those who must live within driving distance of the actual house and endure this auditory fiction. Helen Mirren does her utmost, swathed in mourning and dignity, but even she cannot rescue a script so terribly written! The true horror is not the ghosts. It is the squandered potential. A missed opportunity of grand proportions, and a film that left me longing not for the dead, but for a competent dialect coach and a stronger script. I shall now retire to the garden to recover.
