Audience Member The best Churchill/Dunkirk/Battle of Britain documentary to be had. Absolutely first rate in every respect. Dunkirk the new movie was a joke- no real history, wouldn't even say Nazi. This is so real, using Churchill's words, his motivations- it's fabulous. Way better than Darkest Hour also. Start here with Churchill. The book is also good but it's huge. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/20/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating

Michael O'Sullivan Washington Post Tranks's film, which should be catnip to students of military strategy, brings the great man's influence on the course of world events into sharp relief, even though Churchill's name is not mentioned for long stretches of the film. Rated: 2/4 Mar 25, 2011 Full Review Gary Goldstein Los Angeles Times A classy documentary perhaps more suited to classrooms and the History Channel than to theaters, " Winston Churchill: Walking With Destiny" nonetheless serves as an informative look back at one of the 20th century's most celebrated figures. Rated: 3/5 Nov 4, 2010 Full Review Ronnie Scheib Variety To its credit, and perhaps to the disappointment of some, docu never deviates from its central focus; its treatment of the Holocaust is always secondary to its portrait of an unquestionably great statesman.
