LaLa R Wolf Hollow was top notch as far as, low budget, C-Movies go. The pace was intense once the action started, but it took a while to get there. This film is on a par with famous B-Movie, The Evil Dead. It is high octane fun, with lots of blood but little gore. One fun scene sees a hapless victim clutching his stomach trying to stuff his guts back in, that was horrifyingly fun, but there weren’t enough gruesome moments, however, the ones that were there were well done. The actress’s broken leg was excellent, it really made me squeamish to look at it. I think it is often a good idea, when making a small budget movie, to focus on the gore. Zombie Flesh Eaters would have been forgotten had it not been for that ‘splinter in the eye’ scene. The Werewolves themselves were excellent, it was good to actually see the monster. I always agree with Clive Barker when he says, he goes to the movies to see the monsters, I’m exactly the same, and that’s something I really liked about Wolf Hollow, especially since the werewolf designs were believable. I also enjoyed the balance of comedy and horror. The bit where the actress with the broken leg takes her “painkillers” and becomes a gibbering space cadet…that was so funny, and the guy who lost his arms, he was brilliant, had a sort of ‘Jack Black’ energy about him. The last surviving female was played very well, the intensity of the situation certainly sorted the fighters from the flighters. With more money this movie could have made the box office, it’s fun and sorta gory, and the creatures are cool. I just think they limited themselves with the synopsis. If it had been a film crew just making a film on Werewolf territory, that would have been better than this convoluted story of a runaway pack member. The end left me searching and hoping for a sequel… “I am immortal!” Rated 4 out of 5 stars 08/19/25 Full Review Moon M Absolute masterpiece. Steve is immortal. "What are you gonna do, grow back your arms?" Yes. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 06/01/25 Full Review Audience Member An extremely low budget waste of time, bad humor and worse acting. Cannot stress enough how bad this movie was. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 10/27/24 Full Review Chris J Another extremely generic horror flick with incredibly bad acting and a bad script.
