Synopsis
Sam Rodino (Joseph Bologna), a grumpy but level-headed sports writer, is having a professional feud with Tess (Renee Taylor), a sophisticated international journalist who works at the same newspaper. Tess thinks sports are silly, and Sam is dedicated to proving her wrong. Over the course of their rivalry, they become attracted to one another, fall in love, and get married. Thanks to their divergent backgrounds and vocations, however, Sam and Tess's union is a rocky one.
