Ed Travis Hollywood Jesus A brief, energetic, and powerful documentary; Wonder Women focused on the popular comic book character, but more broadly it focused on women in roles of action heroines. Mar 31, 2020 Full Review Jessica Baxter Film Threat It's the personal stories that really got to me. Aug 9, 2017 Full Review Rebecca Pahle The Mary Sue It's definitely worth checking out. Sep 20, 2016 Full Review Sarah Boslaugh Playback:stl ...a great consciousness-raising tool (how 1970s is that?) and a fun celebration for fans of Wonder Woman and her sisters in spandex. Rated: 6/10 Aug 10, 2016 Full Review John Beifuss Commercial Appeal (Memphis, TN) Should prove irresistible to comic-book fans and pop-culture mavens, even if it is misleadingly selective as it argues that young girls mostly lack strong women role models in popular entertainment. Rated: 2.5/4 Nov 6, 2015 Full Review Matt Brunson Creative Loafing Between the captivating clips and the enlightened talking heads, this is one nonfiction feature that, were it just a bit longer, would be worthy of breaking away from the festival circuit and enjoying regular theatrical runs. Rated: 3.5/4 Jun 3, 2013 Full Review Read all reviews

Aly Scarlett W The film doesn't hold back in showing a variety of perspectives. It also captures incredible commentary. And it's generally engaging. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/11/23 Full Review Audience Member Although it's very short, it is an spectacular documentary that displays Wonder Woman's impact on women and culture since its conception and how it has influenced other american superheroines in different mediums. Totally recommended. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 02/13/23 Full Review Audience Member A great retrospective ! Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/16/23 Full Review Audience Member A little light but worth a watch. Focuses mostly on wonder woman and kind of dismisses any other super heroine. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/12/23 Full Review Audience Member Riveting documentary about the history of heroic women in popular culture and their potential in the future. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/24/23 Full Review Audience Member Very cool documentary about the still persistent struggles of women in today's society, in this case in the roles of super heroes. This piece does give the viewer a chance to understand there is a problem and that there's something that has to be done... BUT... as I see it, and please don't take me wrong, the problem is that this documentary has the same structure as most documentaries, this being that it identifies the problem but it doesn't offer a clear solution, it doesn't provide a [how to] example. In order for documentary filmmaking to be groundbreaking and helpful it has to consider a mutation process and change into one of solutions not only, as I stayed earlier, of pinpointing something.
