Bobby C This movie is so much fun! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/29/24 Full Review Dave C It's a typical 80's movie, with action and an element of fantasy that is trying to be Sci-Fi but fails miserably. It's an extremely shallow, basic movie, with little depth, requiring limited acting, and driven by (boom boom) car chases and ridiculous crashes that all have too many similarities to make them appealing or thrilling. As for the directing and script, you may as well have hired a team of monkeys… Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 10/27/23 Full Review MrDontCare Such a fantastic movie. If you love cars, sprinkled with a pinch of SCIFI, you love this movie. Such a 80s underrated film. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 10/04/23 Full Review Atom H One of my favorite 80s teen revenge movies with sci-fi elements and horror. Cool car - Dodge M4S Turbo Interceptor. Campy and fun, Sherilyn Fenn! Rated 4 out of 5 stars 07/20/23 Full Review Luis C By far one of my favorite car movies of all time !! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 06/04/23 Full Review kevin P Good low budget popcorn movie, mindless fun, wish they'd have done more with Jake's backstory. Decently entertaining cult film. Time Out The town (comprising one house, a burger joint and no citizen who isn't a teenager or a cop) is overseen by Sheriff Randy Quaid, who displays all the reverence the script deserves. Jan 26, 2006 Full Review Janet Maslin New York Times Mr. Cassavetes is effectively black-hearted, and makes a striking figure, and Randy Quaid does a lot with the underdeveloped role of a local sheriff. Rated: 3/5 Aug 30, 2004 Full Review Paul Attanasio Washington Post There is all too little of the quietly charismatic Sheen and all too much of Cassavetes, who is a dead ringer for the young Hugh Hefner. Jan 1, 2000 Full Review David Nusair Reel Film Reviews ...a sluggish thriller that suffers from a lack of cohesiveness in its half-baked narrative... Rated: 2/4 Sep 23, 2020 Full Review David Keyes Cinemaphile.org It does not achieve the same absurdist grandeur of, say, "Sky Bandits" or "Mannequin," which are essentially live action cartoons. But it means well. Rated: 2.5/4 Aug 3, 2020 Full Review Felix Vasquez Jr. Cinema Crazed The kind of revenge B movie you can enjoy thanks to its eccentric tone and unique hero.
