      What to Know

      Critics Consensus

Wristcutters: A Love Story sounds like a normal enough indie flick. Boy meets girl. Boy gets separated from girl. Boy goes on a road trip with friends to find girl and gains a new perspective on life. Except everybody's dead.

Jerod S It's a suicide love affair. After he attempts to take his life, Fugit goes on a dreamscape where everyone is dead...even his love interest. Don't worry, though...after all the pretty lame dark humor, there's a bright ending. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 12/15/23 Full Review justin t Not the most amazing looking but it had a style that fitted the story perfectly. The sound design does a good enough job of complimenting the story which is fantastically well told. This really is the highlight of the film. It is intriguing and interesting. I liked the whole premise. Sometimes the pacing was a little uneven. I really connected with the quirkiness. It reminded me of A Life Less Ordinary (1997) but better. It's enjoyable and interesting but slightly uneven pacing. Melancholy in a good way. Recommended as it's a bit different. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member A cute indie film with tons of faces you’ll recognize. And while it isn’t the best movie that any of them have been in, it’s a fun, quirky production that enjoys taking you through their world building with a bunch of zany characters. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 05/11/22 Full Review Audience Member I was surprised at how much I enjoyed this film. Weirdly entertaining. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/24/23 Full Review Audience Member Fancy seeing The Smiths in the soundtrack... Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/25/23 Full Review Audience Member There’s a lot of questions to be asked but that ruins the entire premise so just have fun.
