      Critics Consensus

Wrong Turn is a cut below more effective horror outings, but viewers in the mood for some gory chills will find that this franchise reboot does more than a few things right.

I know someone that hike the Appalachian Trail I bet they would be interested in seeing this. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 04/27/21 Full Review Michael Shouldn’t of been called wrong turn if it is not even similar to the original. But had an amazing plot and acting. I would love to see a sequel. Adam Nayman The Ringer Wrong Turn finds its agile equilibrium in the balance between being a film of ideas and a film with a body count. May 3, 2021 Full Review Mark Kermode Kermode & Mayo's Film Review Efficient and enjoyable. A couple of horrifying and haunting moments. The whole thing doesn't make any sense at all, and it scores zero points for originality, but it has a really haunting final shot and it does exactly what it set it to do. Mar 2, 2021 Full Review Ian Freer Empire Magazine Wrong Turn has some decent booby-trap business but can't find enough that is different to enliven the weary concept. But for the horror hardcore, keep watching once the credits roll. Rated: 2/5 Feb 27, 2021 Full Review Brian Eggert Deep Focus Review Having no allusions about Wrong Turn's prospects, my low expectations were surpassed. Rated: 3.5/4 Feb 17, 2022 Full Review Witney Seibold Critically Acclaimed Podcast How rare that the seventh film in a long-ignored series can reinvent the premise so cleverly. Sep 13, 2021 Full Review Salome Gonstad Comic Years If they'd tightened these ideas up just a tad, mainly by sharpening the viewpoint, then this movie might be a new modern classic. As it is, though, it's mainly a sometimes exciting detour. Sep 8, 2021 Full Review Read all reviews
