Panos Kotzathanasis HanCinema Moon So-ri's sexy to the point of sultry presence, with her high heels, tight and occasionally see-through outfits, long nails, glasses/no glasses and occasional nudity becomes the focal point of both the cinematography and the narrative. Audience Member Interesting enough to keep me watching the movie without English subtitles and substantial enough to elevate this from being nothing but a raunchy rom-com, but not quite good enough. The palpable chemistry and sexual tension between equally charismatic leads Moon and Ji is wasted; adding in more of the engaging 80's flashbacks of them as degenerate youth could have saved this movie from being a (quite literal) car wreck. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/13/23 Full Review Audience Member Interesting concept, but impossible to follow. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 01/28/23 Full Review Audience Member To be honest, this movie ain't that bad.. The story actually turns out to be really good when reaching half of the movie, yet the performance from the character quite good.. The weak thing from this movie is the directing style which is quite boring and made the movie less interestingly to be watched.. I love the twist they made in here, even though the ending didn't gave much but that's okay.. Overall, it just another average Korean movie.. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/02/23 Full Review Audience Member A convoluted and messy journey into the affairs of a single woman. The narrative hops through time, through characters without a care as to whether or not the viewers will keep up. Some of the comedy is very effective, in both dialogue and slightly odd moments. Unfortunately there is no real character to attach oneself to. This results in a plodding pace with sudden changes in tone. The film does make use of a unique and fairly awkward technique. Each scene ends with a pretty much still shot going on for a couple seconds longer than one would expect. It adds to the fairly odd comedy of the film. Two shocking twist moments are also brilliantly filmed from a distance. They come out of nowhere and it is hard to tell whether it was a fantastic stunt or some brilliant CGI. Either way it's impressive. Certainly an oddity, but for many I would assume it would be an infuriating one. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/20/23 Full Review Audience Member Well crafted, carefully paced drama from debut director Lee Ha. Very solid performances from Ji Jin-hee and Moon So-ri. The tone of the movie changes dramatically from quietly funny to achingly dark after a while, thus making it extremely hard to fit into the sex comedy genre the production company tries to market it as. A refreshing oddity. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/29/23 Full Review Audience Member A dark comic sex farce from South Korea. Moon So-ri shows off her talents (and other things) in her turn as a self-centered, manipulative seductress with a limp. (Yeah, you read that right.)
