Marie L Skip this and watch the original from 1991. This version strangely does not include the history and moral lessons found in the original film. Not to mention this version depicts the characters as solidly upper middle class. That was not the case at all in the original version. The original movie is actually based on a very poor Irish girl living in the slums of New York. The animated movie gives a false depiction of what life was like during the period in which the story was supposed to take place. It's just another example of how kids today are being mislead in their understanding of American history. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 11/30/23 Full Review Audience Member This has great animation, a good cast, and a heartwarming story. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/09/23 Full Review Audience Member Good new short Christmas movie to add to the yearly holidays list. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/02/23 Full Review Audience Member Holiday specials seem to be going through a resurrection these days. "Yes Virginia" is one of these modern specials and has all the makings of a classic. It's based on a Yuletide story (and a true one, to boot), has pleasing characters, and delivers a positive message of hope and generousity. I can see this special playing on TV for generations to come. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/16/23 Full Review Audience Member Yes, Virgina is a wonderful shorter version to A Miracle on 34th St. I thought that this film is a delightful version for the kids at heart. Virgina's longing for the truth about Santa brings to mind us as humans longing for the truth about God. How do you believe something that you can't see? In the end, she believed. Do you believe? www.what-to-watch.com Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/25/23 Full Review Audience Member Excellent!!! The girls really enjoyed this & I'm adding it to our annual holiday "must see" list!
