Jeannette Catsoulis New York Times Unfolding in New England over four vibrantly represented seasons, "Feelings" is a small-scale wonder. Rated: 4/5 May 3, 2012 Full Review Eric Hynes Village Voice It lacks a center, a sense that within its strenuously ambiguous story is a thrumming motor. May 1, 2012 Full Review Glenn Heath Jr. Slant Magazine For a film that often veers into potentially absurd territory, You Hurt My Feelings shows a great deal of sensitivity toward its sad-sack characters." Kimberly B I just love the simple truth of this movie. The cast was great. I didn't want it to end. There are so few grown up movies. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 09/30/23 Full Review Audience Member You Hurt My Feelings is like a Buster Keaton comedy of pain slowed all the way down to the depressive pace of jobless-recovery culture. It's poetic and subtle, never more so than in its oblique final scene, which could be interpreted as either hopeful or the death of hope. It rarely raises its voice, but look inside and you'll find a funny and heartfelt microcosm of the malaise (and moments of joy) of American life in the here and now.
