Craig Mathieson The Age (Australia) "Your Friend" uses observational humour, has no interest in culture wars, and is about clean as a contemporary comedian can be in 2024 -- it’s also consistently funny. Expect a slew of imitators in the next few years. Jan 3, 2025 Full Review Sean L. McCarthy Decider A big part of Bargatze’s act is playing dumb, but you have to be quite shrewd and clever to craft as winning a comedy career as he has over the past decade. You’d be the dummy if you bet against him. Dec 27, 2024 Full Review Read all reviews

matthias s **Review of Nate Bargatze’s Latest Special – 3.5 Stars** Nate Bargatze is back, and while it’s not his best work, it’s still classic Nate — and that’s a good thing. His storytelling is so smooth, you almost forget how carefully crafted it all is. He pulls you in story by story, delivering punchlines with that signature deadpan charm. His knack for finding comedy in the mundane is unmatched; it’s like he’s showing you the humor you’ve missed in everyday life. This special feels a little more laid-back than his last one — not quite as tight — but Nate’s ability to work a room without relying on shock value or politics is refreshing. He proves once again that you don’t need to be edgy to be funny — just clever and relatable. While I still prefer his previous show, this one had me laughing consistently. Nate’s in his element, and even when he’s not at his peak, he’s still better than most. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 03/11/25 Full Review Mohamed E Hilarious! I loved every joke and his delivery is amazing. Just wholesome and witty comedy Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/20/25 Full Review Yash B This was my second Nate Bargatze special that I have watched, so I am relatively new to his standup. I do think he has a unique delivery that is fun and light to watch. I also think it is impressive how he keeps his set so clean and family-friendly yet also full of genuine laughs, even if not all of his jokes are all that relatable to me personally. Overall, this is a pretty good special that is easy to watch and left me in a happy and pleasant mood afterward. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/22/25 Full Review Michael S Love Nate, but half of the show was jokes he has used in the past. Was hoping for a brand new show as his other specials have been. I also have found Nate doesn’t use stories as much, tending to use one liners more often. Ok to watch but certainly expected more. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 01/19/25 Full Review michael l Having watched nearly all of Nate's online content, I found this special perplexing. Why is he repeating material many of his fans have probably seen previously? And this venue? Too big. This whole thing was so sad. Nate can do better, and has done much better. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 01/01/25 Full Review Rhonda L Properly funny show. His delivery and material are perfectly honed. We openly laughed - something which rarely happens in Netflix specials.
