Audience Member This film was great. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/12/23 Full Review Audience Member I haven't seen many Japanese films from this period and found this film really interesting and at times funny. Visually it was interesting as well. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/13/23 Full Review Audience Member This one was a solid little film in the series, with our man Zatoichi mistaken for a thief and forced to work with a Yakuza boss to prove their innocence and find the real crook. This series is a helluva lot of fun, though I don't know if marathoning them is the best method to view, as the general tropes start to get a bit monotonous. Recommended. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/07/23 Full Review Audience Member Dynamic direction and a solid climax make for good Zatoichi installment. Visiting the grave of a dead man he should not have killed, Zatoichi gets mixed up in a robbery and 1000 ryo of gold are stolen from farmers, and he is the prime suspect. It eventually spirals into one of the better climaxes, as Zatoichi's opponent is mean spirited and doesn't play fair. Its the sweet musical cues and cool camera angles that make this one memorable. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/05/23 Full Review Audience Member The fine samurai series continues strongly with this solid sixth entry, as Zatoichi and Boss Chuji, a cherished friend, are accused of stealing 1,000 ryo--3 years of back-taxes for 18 counties--and desperately, our hero must clear their names and reputations by finding and apprehending the real culprit. Strongly recommended for fans of the genre, and I can't wait for part 7 this evening! =) Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 02/24/23 Full Review Audience Member It's very unfortunate to see the worst film from the series. Zatoichi is up against another irrelevant side quest. Such a poor story, nothing is happening and the battles are just sloppy. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 02/13/23 Full Review Read all reviews
