Matthew D There's never a dull moment in this martial arts melodrama staring Angela Mao and Carter Wong! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 07/04/22 Full Review Audience Member From the director of Hapkido (1972) comes this action-packed tale of honour starring Angela Mao and Carter Wong. Sammo Hung also has a small role, but this time just a side character. The movie is interesting only when the movie is not about Muay Thai boxing. The fight scenes in the ring are pretty uneventful and the camera is very static. On the other hand, the fight scene in the middle and end are simply fantastic. Dynamic camera angles and plenty of great cinematography add to the choreography. Its light on plot and sagging in the middle with no complex plot or any plot twists, The Tournament is saved by a few fight scenes that make it a very straight forward martial arts picture.
