Jenna M @Jennalex 13h How any legitimate critic could rate this series as "fresh" is beyond me. It's barely engaging past the 4th episode when you realize the dead body and story is- at it's uncreative heart- laughably cliche. This story barely has point, not as a mystery nor as a commentary on the human condition. :::Spoilers::: It's a "oh, but he's not really evil" story of two people doing "bad" things and not-so-coincidentally falling for each other. Aside from the poor storytelling of who the characters are- in costume design or dialogue- the utter lack of motivation for the everything the characters do or say aside from the main catalyst driving the story is eye roll inducing. The attempt a backstory for the detectives is dirivative, shallow, somewhat illogical (particularly around how the dead person becomes dead, and the lack of acknowledging the legal theories of justifiable homicide) and ultimately meaningless to the story. None of the characters are people you love nor people you love to hate. See more Megan P. @thesillysleuth 1d One of the best shows I’ve seen in a while. Anytime I thought I knew where it was headed, it ended up leaving me shocked. Awesome psychological thriller watch. 10/10. Acting is great too. Ultimately, it was underwhelming but a great binge watch. The police/ detective plot was very boring and confusing at times. The acting from the younger caste in episode 07 was incredible! Some great performances from the younger versions of the main characters in Ep 7, however the finale tails off into a "romantic Wattpad" style completion.
