      Season 5 – Army Wives

      2011 Drama List
Reviews After a whirlwind courtship, bartender and single mom Roxy marries Army Pfc. Trevor LeBlanc and moves with him and her two children to an Army base in Charleston, S.C. There, she soon becomes close friends with other wives on the base, including Denise Sherwood, whose son, Jeremy, temporarily abused her after the deployment of her husband, Maj. Frank Sherwood, until Jeremy joined the service himself; and psychiatrist Roland Burton, a male "Army wife" trying to help his spouse, Lt. Col. Joan Burton, who is struggling with post-traumatic stress disorder. When the "army wives" prepare to leave the base after it is decommissioned, they must adjust to the idea of moving away from their close-knit group of friends. Previous Phil Dyess-Nugent AV Club Army Wives is melodramatic, all right, but it's also consistently, stupefyingly boring. Oct 18, 2019 Full Review David Hinckley New York Daily News It makes for an emotional and intensely focused hour that stays true to both the characters and the tone of the show. 3/5 Mar 26, 2011 Full Review Dani Bradford TV Equals I think the fifth season of Army Wives is one of the betters ones (aside from the first which is my favorite) and worth a purchase, especially if you are a die hard fan. Nov 19, 2013 Full Review Carissa Pavlica TV Fanatic I can't think of another show that has thrown such a huge change into the mix at the end of a season. 4.5/5 Jun 13, 2011 Full Review Next
