The return of Bad Sisters can't help but feel like too much of a good thing, but the lived-in dynamic between these outstanding performers continues to pay highly watchable dividends.

Margaret Lyons New York Times The opening credits this go-round use the same song as the first but set up a new macabre Rube Goldberg machine, and that’s kind of how the whole season feels, like a code you already have the key to. Nov 22, 2024 Full Review Dan Einav Financial Times Other shows offer similar crime-caper antics, but few capture the complexity and solidarity of siblinghood so sharply and tenderly. Rated: 4/5 Nov 21, 2024 Full Review Anita Singh Daily Telegraph (UK) Bang is much missed. It feels messier and less focused. But it’s still a cut above most shows of this type, thanks to sharp writing from Horgan and quality performances across the board. Rated: 4/5 Nov 20, 2024 Full Review Alison Gillmor Winnipeg Free Press Bad Sisters shares a lot with Big Little Lies -- stunning coastal views, big glasses of wine, female solidarity against coercive patriarchal control. Unfortunately, it also shares that second season problem. Dec 4, 2024 Full Review Chris Revelle Pajiba Fiona Shaw’s performance is nothing short of virtuosic. Nov 27, 2024 Full Review Akos Peterbencze The Screen As with many other similarly successful debut seasons of TV shows that should’ve been mini or limited series with a single season, the Irish remake got an unnecessary continuation, too. B.E. C I’m honestly surprised by some of the negative reviews by fans. It is a different tone than season 1 but that’s to be expected. The writing is sharp, the acting is stellar and the twists continue to unfold. A worthy successor to season 1. Sharon Horgan is brilliant. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 12/09/24 Full Review Audience Member Bit predictable this series. Feels a bit forced. Still watchable though. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 12/06/24 Full Review Robert Z Oh come on. This is a complicated, tender, silly, dramatic, funny, love fest of a show. If it sounds like family, and sounds like siblings it's because that's what you get along with a stellar cast. Smart and ridiculous and damn good. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 12/06/24 Full Review John W. M I loved the first season and all of the actors, but they should have stopped after one season. They have pushed the bounds of credulity in terms of plot. The first season was dark, humorous, and believable. The second season has created characters and plot points that do not ring true. I’ll finish the season because of the wondrous Sharon Horgan, but not because of the story. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 12/05/24 Full Review GDNM1119 B This season is just as good as the first season. It’s smart, intriguing, and funny . I was worried after such an amazing first season that this one could live up to it, but it does . Angelica was the perfect dark comedic additon . Love this cast and show ! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 11/30/24 Full Review joanna d Season 2 falls short of the cracking wit, originality, and occasional horribleness (cc John Paul) of Season 1. The Garvey sisters' dysfunctionality, manifested in various stupidities such as burglarizing the irritating Angelica in broad daylight, ceases to be amusing. One would think practicing the art of subterfuge improves with time. But no. Everyone is just a bit stupider, including us the audience, as we are left with an obnoxious junior detective and her incompetent senior officer.
