Bridgerton follows Daphne Bridgerton (Phoebe Dynevor), the eldest daughter of the powerful Bridgerton family as she makes her debut onto Regency London’s competitive marriage market. Hoping to follow in her parent’s footsteps and find a match sparked by true love, Daphne’s prospects initially seem to be unrivaled. But as her older brother begins to rule out her potential suitors, the high society scandal sheet written by the mysterious Lady Whistledown casts aspersions on Daphne. Enter the highly desirable and rebellious Duke of Hastings (Regé-Jean Page), committed bachelor and the catch of the season for the debutantes’ mamas. Despite proclaiming that they want nothing the other has to offer, their attraction is undeniable and sparks fly as they find themselves engaged in an increasing battle of wits while navigating society’s expectations for their future.

The real fantasy of Bridgerton. Not the romance or the costuming, but the idea of having stiff, yet well-meaning rulers who appreciate friendly competition and won’t go scorched-Earth on any threat if the alternative is ceding even an inch of their power.

This season was the biggest disappointment, although I loved how the actors and I think they did a great job… I have to say the costumes were so cheapppp and the storyline was so not bridgerton where was the romance? and I know season 4 going to be the same, it’s so sad how we went from the best season (Season two) to this mess.

I did really enjoy this season. I'm not sure it was as good as the 2 previous season, however the chemistry between Penelope and Colin was great and I feel the show done their story justice. My only real complaint is that they have chosen to change Francesca's story so drastically. Her story in her book had a lot to do with fertility issues and I'm not sure how they will incorporate the extent of this now that they are changing the sex of her future love interest. I loved her story as it was and I'm not looking forward to seeing how these changes play out. Apart from that I thoroughly enjoyed the Colin and Penelopes season.
