nowhere near as smart or as subversive as Crouch appears to think it is, but it is pulpy watchable entertainment even if it makes you want to read the novel for hopefully something with a little more bite

Me encantan estas tramas de realidades alternativas y esta serie lo hace de una manera muy bien, como las expone y las explica, lo bien que esta Joel Edgerton, de verdad que tiene demasiado aciertos esta serie como el giro del 8vo capitulo que no lo veía venir por ningún lado, aunque se me cae un poco en el capitulo final cuando venia un ritmo muy alto y decidieron dar una pausa y bajar el ritmo de una forma muy drástica que no lo favoreció.

The writing twists and turns in this are unforeseeable and compelling. Perfectly acted by Edgerton, Connelly, Braga, Simpson, Brugel, etc. Simpson's best work so far (which is saying a lot, considering "Zodiac"), playing two different characters of the same person from different universes - same for Brugel (who was excellent in "Handmaid's Tale"). This series begs not only for a sequel, but also for spinoff about main characters exploring other parallel universes. The special effects were phenomenal WITHOUT being gratuitous or gaudy. The emotions stemming from the storyline were way beyond compelling and gripping: always making it easy to imagine yourself inside the characters' minds. So supremely well-crafted writing and directing.

I get that broadening the story by allowing it to develop through multiple characters could be beneficial, but in this case, it made the story a yawn. The last episode lacked the “I-can’t-read-fast-enough-to-see-how-this-ends” nail-biting intensity. Maybe for those who didn’t know the story, it worked. It was just lukewarm for me. However, I wonder what the completely new material in season 2 could bring.
