Marco L @decatur555 5d Landman is an entertaining and solid Taylor Sheridan series that feels related to Yellowstone but still has its own identity. Instead of ranches and family legacy, this one is built around oil, labor, money, and the brutal machinery of an industrial world. It does not have the same tragic weight as Yellowstone, but it moves well, pulls you into its setting, and stays highly watchable. Billy Bob Thornton is the key. He gives the show charisma, rhythm, dry humor, and enough presence to carry even the weaker stretches. The series is not flawless: some storylines are less compelling, some characters feel underwritten, and Sheridan falls into familiar habits now and then. But when it clicks, it really works. It took me 20-30 minutes for me to figure out that this is propaganda piece by oil companies. Went online to check it and here we go - API( American Petrolum Institute) spend million on advertising it and Paramount mostly paid for it( Larry Ellison one of the biggest Trump supporters who also owns CBS and recently Trump gave him TikTok). Majority of movies used to be the sanctuary for greater good messages. Now even that is taken away from us by oligarch billionairs paying back fracture what they gain thank to Trump. Dumbing down Americans( that's what this series does) is the very last thing this country needs a help with. Billy Bob Thorton - amazing acting. It hooked me right away, and when I reached the end of the first season I was so thankful there was another available. If I had to complain about something, I’d say that Ali Larter’s character was difficult to endure. Angela Norton’s level of insecurity borders on insanity and is almost painful to witness, but that portrayal lends something to the story. Ali did a good job with her.
