Taylor Sheridan’s oil-industry drama doesn’t merely depict fossil-fuel culture; it often endorses a right-wing, climate-skeptical narrative by presenting industry talking points as fact. Across the season, characters confidently dismiss renewable energy as inefficient, overpriced, or environmentally useless — including claims that wind turbines never repay their carbon costs and that solar and wind are far more expensive than oil. These assertions echo common conservative misinformation and contradict mainstream energy research, yet the series offers no real pushback. By framing these monologues as hard truths rather than biased perspectives, Landman blurs the line between character realism and propaganda.
