Ben B 3h Killing off the three most likable characters in the first episode and leaving only annoying, idiots with bad behavior is not a good idea if you want to encourage people to keep watching. See more Nick H @NovelWriter 7h The first year of Landman is like many Taylor Sheridan shows... spectacular. Billy Bob Thornton is terrific... I had no idea he was this good of an actor. (He might be playing himself) Solid supporting cast, excellent cliffhangers at the end of episodes. Only downside is the relationship between his son and the widow. Seems a lot like Kayce & Monica on Yellowstone. Season two... not great. Very little in the way of conflict which was prevalent in season one. As is often the case, the creator has so many new shows going he loses interest in year two. Still a good watch, but not up to the quality of season 1. Incredible storytelling, strong characters, and just the right mix of tension and drama. I found myself completely drawn in from the first episode I couldn’t stop watching.
