Season 1 – Last Man Standing

      2011 Comedy List
14% 37 Reviews Tomatometer 76% 100+ Ratings Audience Score Mike Baxter is a happily married father of three daughters who finds himself the odd man out as he tries to maintain his manliness in a home surrounded by women. Mike tries to escape all the female drama at home in the warm, manly embrace of his job at the Outdoor Man store, a sporting goods emporium where he is marketing director. He also revels in his Outdoor Man vlog, which he uses as a pulpit for his opinions -- which often have nothing to do with the store's merchandise. When he's supposed to be selling mountain bikes or kayaks, he somehow ends up spouting off about the environment, health care, international politics or any other topic occupying his mind. Margaret Lyons New York Magazine/Vulture Last Man Standing seems to think that its jokes and premise and crappy worldview are, like its hero, endangered somehow. What it doesn't seem to realize is that there's a reason shows like this have gone extinct. Mar 3, 2019 Full Review Emily St. James Vox Last Man Standing is never going to be as courageous as it thinks it is. Sep 28, 2018 Full Review Robert Bianco USA Today It turns out you can go Home again. Rated: 2.5/4 Oct 11, 2011 Full Review Luke Gelineau TV Equals It's a harmless, run-of-the-mill family sitcom, but they've made sitcoms in the past that I've laughed at. If you aren't going to have funny jokes, then stop filling in the empty space with huge character inconsistencies and logical flaws. Mar 3, 2019 Full Review Lily Moayeri Under the Radar If Allen was a bumbling father to three sons before, he is even more incompetent with three daughters, and it's not funny. It's child abuse-and viewer abuse. Rated: 3/10 May 11, 2018 Full Review Matt Roush TV Guide A weary, gender-reversed version of Allen's hit Home Improvement. Maryann P The show is horrible. Tries way too hard and fails miserably. Thanks God it was only two seasons. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 12/27/23 Full Review Schroyer Family D I knew the first time I saw the preview for "The Last Man Standing" I knew I would love it and relate to the show. My favorite part about the show has been the the references made from Tim Allen's former movies and tv series such as Home Improvement and Toy Story. The moments between family, friends, and coworkers are so funny and relatable that you can't just watch one episode, you have to binge it. I remember moments of watching Home Improvement with my family because they said the show is great for the whole family, but I would say with Last Man Standing so far it's more relatable to the adults who are watching, especially with the adult humor. In this show you find out that Tim is out numbered in the battle of the sexist with his wife and 3 daughters. They all have their own personalities and can't help, but laugh at the great moments. I know you will too. #schroyerfamilydaily #arrenschroyer #lastmanstanding #timallen #outdoorman #familyshow #family Rated 5 out of 5 stars 10/04/23 Full Review Robert O I think this is the greatest show ever on T.V. Finally someone who is unapologetic about their beliefs, which are in line with the greatest majority of Americans. Brave enough and proud enough to speak the truth even though the left tries to take away the freedom of speech for everyone that does not agree with them. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 08/27/23 Full Review Israel M Best current show , especially if your a republican, very little to no blacks or pushing gay stuff on us. The way life should be . I wish there were more shows like this. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 08/30/23 Full Review isa e Critics 14% Audience high 70's, that tells you all you need to know, the show is awesome. Funny, pretty balanced and the talented cast really sell the humour Rated 5 out of 5 stars 05/13/23 Full Review Rich A Oh good - another piece of drivel Honestly its the age old plot of U.S sitcoms. Old school dad who thinks he's Mr USA himself, getting himself into stupid situations that are hard to imagine. Why anyone thinks this has any FAMILY VALUES, clearly has their head in the T.V listings too much. At least FRIENDS had actual real life issues aside the cringe....not buying a tank like your all American dad does. It's a stupid as Home Improvement and as bland as the rest.
