The episodic formula keeps the show, and the list of fun guest stars is good for variety.

Continues to be one of the best sit-coms of all time, five seasons in and still able to find new creative situations and make them funnier than before, the Vegas episode in particular is one of the show's best. Not only has the humour heightened but so has the heart that keeps this show going.

I love this series, never laughed so much. The old seasons even have a relatively modern humor for the fact that the series was released in 2009. Watched the first episode and knew I was going to watch all 250 episodes.

I say that I am not a person who enjoys watching dramas, but the modern family seems to be worth being called the American national drama. If you want to feel the naked American family atmosphere, I recommend you to watch it. While many comedy-dramas try to be funny with provocative material, the modern family was able to make people laugh with a warm atmosphere. It is characterized by a small American-style disturbance, but always giving lessons on family love at the end. Finally, with the end of season 11 this year, the modern family ended, which is quite disappointing. Even though I haven't seen all the series, I already feel like I'm suffering from aftereffects. The impact of this drama is significant. The plot seems complicated, but there is no time to be bored because actors of various nationalities come out and deal with the stories of various minorities, including immigrants, gays, and women. However, sometimes people tend to insult minorities because they treat them too typically. The modern family was especially popular in Korea, and considering Koreans' tendency to like their unique touching but the pleasant storyline, the well-organized story in every episode of the modern family and the implications that can be gained from it was, in short, "MY TYPE" to Koreans. Having lived in both the U.S. and Korea, I was able to approach and understand the contents of modern families more intensively and deeply. In the drama, some serious topics are solved by laughing and moving on in a comedy format, but in fact, I really sympathized with the worries that immigrants have, especially in the U.S. mainland. Of course, I think it's another advantage of the modern family to enthrall viewers by inserting laughter points in such a profound timing.

The previous four seasons of Modern Family all garnered five-star ratings from me. While this Fifth Season still provided a lot of laughs, it also had some "dry" episodes that knocked the star ranking down a notch. A big storyline this season revolves around the upcoming nuptials of Cam (Eric Stonestreet) and Mitchell (Jesse Tyler Ferguson) and all the foibles that event causes both in preparation and execution. Daughter Lily (Aubrey Anderson-Emmons) has some of the best lines of the whole season watching her daddies try to pull off the event. All the other principle cast members are spot-on as usual. It is a bit weird to see youngest Dunphy child Luke (Nolan Gould) getting so old, but the show transitions with him pretty well. Where I felt the season was a little stale? The stuff involving Jay (Ed O'Neill) and Gloria (Sofia Vergara), especially their new "Man-ny" Andy (Adam DeVine), a live-in servant not to be confused with the real Manny (Rico Rodriguez). Like I said, this is still a funny season of the show, but there were a few plotlines and even a few whole episodes that just weren't quite as utterly hilarious as the show had been in the past. I hate to call a season like this a "bad year", but I guess it kind of was compared to other seasons previous. I am heartened, however, by the fact that the most similar comedy to this, that being "The Office", fell off the table with a much more resounding thud when it starting wearing out its welcome. Maybe this is the beginning of that route for "Modern Family", but I still enjoyed watching these episodes quite a bit.

Modern Family season 5 is just the prove that Steven Levitan and Christopher Lloyd are top notch directors, whose were capable of renew this comedy 5 times, and the most part of comedies stay for the 3rd.
