Carol Midgley Times (UK) This feels like the right time for the show to bow out. Rated: 4/5 Jun 20, 2019 Full Review Susannah Butter London Evening Standard Mum is on-point situational comedy, with a moving message about bereavement and an ensemble cast who complement each other brilliantly. As Cathy, Leslie Manville is the master of the poignant, pregnant pause. Rated: 4/5 May 29, 2019 Full Review Deborah Ross The Mail on Sunday (UK) This is magnificently written (by Stefan Golaszewski) and magnificently performed and magnificently perceptive about older people. Rated: 5/5 May 20, 2019 Full Review Veronica Lee The Arts Desk Never anything less than funny, smart and heartwarming. Rated: 5/5 Jun 20, 2019 Full Review Euan Ferguson Observer (UK) Tender, foul, awkward, human, never less than hugely funny, this has been one of the delights in my job. May 21, 2019 Full Review Jasper Rees The Arts Desk Mum somehow manages to be two comedies in one: a parade of grotesques rub up against a pair of superhumanly kind and tolerant people who barely make you laugh at all. Audience Member Why did they end this show after 3 seasons only? They had plenty of material to keep going. This is 1 of those feel good shows that aren't too many around. I don't understand why all these other garbage shows keep going and then duplicate them into a different city like the CSI crap. Very disappointing to see show like this not continue. This show seems easy enough to film and not too costly to keep it going. Once you get passed the 1st few episodes in season 1 and learn the characters more, you'll start to enjoy this show and it's quirkiness. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/09/23 Full Review Read all reviews
