Many people dislike season 4 because there are too many plot twists, and the storyline feels like a spin-off. In my opinion the storyline is indeed a spinoff, but I really liked it. It gives us a somewhat good ending to the Snowpiercer franchise.

More plot holes than I can count, The escalation feels horribly forced and a lot of it makes little sense for the world. This feels so utterly disconnected that it feels more like a spinoff than a continuation.
