Christina Izzo AV Club Tell Me Lies season two thrusts viewers right back into that charged atmosphere, picking up shortly after the explosive events of the first-season finale as Lucy begins her sophomore year. Rated: B+ Sep 3, 2024 Full Review Gracie Lowes Tell-Tale TV Tension, truths, and heartbreak are central themes on [“Do Your Dirty Words Come Out To Play"]. Ant A Second season goes off of soapy petty drama and soft porn. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 11/22/24 Full Review John M just cast a bunch of hot people together and put in 2-3 sex scenes each episode and whalla ...you have a hit! I would call it bad writing, but there doesn't seem to be any real writing...you could just tell the "actors" to act like you are in 8th and 9th grade and back stab the crap out of each other each episode then have sex and that sums up every episode for both seasons. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 11/21/24 Full Review Titi S Can’t wait for season 3 , Lucy looking good as always Rated 5 out of 5 stars 11/21/24 Full Review Minh H Season 2 of Tell Me Lies is one that some fans will embrace, while others may find it just satisfactory, especially those who held high regard for the first season. The highlight here is, without a doubt, the cast’s performances and the character-driven shift in storytelling. The reduction in explicit scenes works in the season’s favor, allowing more room to focus on narrative depth. Wrigley stands out as the season’s star, with impressive character development, though the romantic storyline between Lucy and her new love interest feels rushed, at times force-feeding emotion and including some superfluous intimate scenes. Bree, Marianne, and Professor Oliver are compelling characters who could easily warrant a future prequel, though their arcs are cut short here in an acceptable manner. Stephen remains an intriguing and controversial figure. Disappointingly, the familial backgrounds of the characters—promised to be darker and more twisted—were underexplored, a missed opportunity after the writers hinted at a deeper narrative dive. While visually, the season delivers on its promise of a moody, shadowed atmosphere, it doesn’t carry the same narrative punch as the inaugural season. Fans may enjoy it, but it lacks the same lasting impact that made Season 1 unforgettable. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 11/12/24 Full Review Samara A Tell Me Lies is one of those shows that feels underrated and deserves more recognition. The cast is amazing, and the acting really stands out, especially when it comes to the complexity of Stephen’s character. His journey is dark and twisted, and the way it's portrayed keeps you hooked. But this season, Wriggly really stole the show. His performance is intense and layered, and it’s a shame that his character is often overlooked. In real life, people might see someone like Wriggly as just the funny, happy, and maybe even ‘dumb’ guy, but his depth in this role shows there’s so much more beneath the surface. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 11/06/24 Full Review GDNM1119 B Season two was even better than the first. All the characters were so well developed and I found myself rooting for them more , especially Lucy . Acting is fantastic by all especially Lucy and Stephen , you hate them and love them. Oh and Wrigley had me in puddles. Praying for a season 3! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 10/17/24 Full Review Read all reviews
