Acclaimed actress Laura Linney stars in this comedy-drama as Minneapolis schoolteacher Cathy Jamison, whose reserved, structured way of life is turned upside down after she is diagnosed with terminal cancer. Gone are the days of pleasing everyone else; now, for the first time in her life, she is going to choose the path that most suits her needs. And that means, in part, telling her immature husband, spoiled son and outspoken brother to grow up. Cathy, meanwhile, wants to act up ... and along the way she forms new bonds with some unexpected people.

Terry S Premise: Hospice where terminally ill cancer patient, Cathy, admits herself. She also admits she's not ready to die (go). Then why enroll in Hospice? She's terminally ill and is hooked to morphine equipment so can manage the pain herself. She also manages to use her walker and leave the building, without her morphine. Then uses her walker to go down the fashion runway in a dress she commissioned that her friend make for her to wear in her coffin. Her physical features do not reflect a person who is in imminent need of a coffin.
