The Chair Company manages to be both a high-surrealist critique of the dehumanization of work and a portrait of fragile humanity. You won’t get swept away by its narrative or its cast of characters, but you might find yourself, unaccountably, moved. Go to Full Review

The Chair Company will keep you up at nights, not because it is frightening, but because you won’t be able to stop thinking about it. A truly singular vision from a mad genius. Don’t let it be spoiled for you. Go to Full Review

The Chair Company solidifies Robinson as one of the most unique voices in contemporary comedy, capable of using absurdity not only for gags, but to expose an era defined by anxiety and a desperate need for belonging. [Full review in Spanish] Go to Full Review

Bry C @BryanCooper Feb 15 This promised to have the kind of story arc that made Breaking Bad so compelling. However, half way through this series, while the main character lost the plot, so unfortunately did the show. The premise of looking into the seedy goings on of a shell company had me invested, but the final few episodes were a complete cop out, with a 'finale' that made me wonder if I'd mislaid an episode 9 somewhere. What I thought was going to tackle a heavy topic ended up just finishing with a shrug. The delivery of the 'comedy' was very abrasive. Everyone shouts all their dialog, which soon became very antagonistic. There was, ironically, almost no comedy relief and I found the series draining. Don't listen to the so-called approved 'critics'. They know this is brain-rotting tripe, but they have their own puppet-masters to satiate. I give it some credit for the idea and the potential of an interesting topic. However, I regret giving it my time and will avoid the 2nd season like the plague. See more Gordon M. @gordumb Jan 20 This show had some funny ideas and is decently executed. I appreciate the unseriousness and pacing, but some of the `screaming = funny` and `corny = funny` delivery feels lazy. See more Raymond S Jan 17 Makes me want to read a book instead, or fix something around the house. Watching this makes you dumber, imao. See more John D. @johndoe Jan 17 This show is awful. Not funny at all and so boring. I don’t understand how this has any positive reviews. Zero stars. See more Lesley P @StrangestThings Jan 16 No laughs, cringy, and virtually no likable characters. One of the worst shows I’ve ever seen. See more Read all reviews
