Though it pales in comparison to its parent films, The Continental maintains the classic John Wick house style and is sure to sate the appetites of franchise devotees. Go to Full Review

In this extra-grimy 1970s New York, a slew of new characters and their conflicts circle the Continental, including Mel Gibson as a boilerplate villain, but the fight scenes feel derivative and the emotional stakes negligible. Go to Full Review

When I say "The Continental: From the World of John Wick" fails to live up to the most basic possibility this device offers, know that there are many reasons why that have nothing to do with Mel Gibson's top billing. Go to Full Review

The series opens with an extended bang and doesn’t let up. And while it doesn’t quite have the same frenetic energy as the movies, there are more than enough high-octane brawls and stylish gunfights to satisfy action fans. Go to Full Review

This series is fun and all, but the point of making a series on the well-established John Wick franchise is lost on me. Go to Full Review

The series insists on clumsily referencing the original universe. But it lacks solidity, visual identity and a good script to pull it off. [Full Review in Spanish] Go to Full Review

Ry N @RyGuy 3d Crime lord, Comac, sends a young Winston to find his brother, Frankie, after stealing from him. When Winston runs away with Frankie and the stolen coin press, Comac enlists hitmen from The Continental to help. The show carries the classic John Wick action as Winston builds a team and attempts to take out The Continental. See more Craig B @Boundsy Nov 8 Absolutely brilliant short form series. Perfect accompaniment to the John Wick universe. See more A M. @apmille Nov 5 Very entertaining. Does a good job of giving the backstory for John Wick See more Frans B @FransB Aug 21 Can't quite get a handle on it ... As standalone it's fine, but if you are a John Wick fan, this is somewhat disappointing. The Continental stands for exclusivity, very high morals and respect, absolute elite and out of reach for most, code of conduct set in concrete, no deviation from rules, and so forth. This seems to almost ignore all of that and water it down to damn near tasteless. But, as a standalone, everything good enough though. See more Jaxstorm 3 Jul 17 The series completely lacks the core for which this saga is known and that is to transmit the philosophy of the protagonist to the audience, in addition there is an obvious lack of respect for the work of Chad Stahelski. See more LABEL 2 Jun See more Read all reviews
