Previous Deborah Ross The Mail on Sunday (UK) There is something quite lazy and complacent about it. 2/5 Jan 6, 2022 Full Review Sean O'Grady Independent (UK) Jaded, hackneyed, lazy programming, it's far from perfick. 1/5 Jan 6, 2022 Full Review Ed Cumming Independent (UK) This isn't a rural idyll but a dystopia, a kind of Kentish Truman Show in which none of the characters progress or escape. Worse than that, they have a baby farting as a recurrent gag. 2/5 Dec 29, 2021 Full Review Joel Keller Decider The Larkins is a good-natured bit of British comfort TV that is a great antidote to the heaviness of most current dramas. Previous Patricia M I am culturally conservative but love creative artistry and thought it was wonderful. From the script to the casting and visual fun it is so well done. Not only binge worthy but easy to rewatch. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 06/02/23 Full Review Anthony N Funny without being unkind. Wholesome without being boring. Uplifting without being trite. This is one of the best new (to me) shows streaming on AcornTV and I absolutely love it. My dad just passed and this was the perfect pick-me-up to remind me "hey, the world's alright." Makes me think of Shameless meets Grantchester, but without the murder, trauma, or dysfunction, haha! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 05/14/23 Full Review Tom T Loved this series on AcornTV. Happy to see Season 2 being released now, but not so glad to see it won't be picked up for a 3rd season. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 04/10/23 Full Review Qienna It doesn't really bring anything new to the table but that's not really why we're watching it, is it? It's a nice bit of nostalgia at a slightly more realistic pace than the Darling Buds of May with the villagers showing a little more character.
