Based on the novel by Matthew Quirk, The Night Agent is a sophisticated, character-based, action-thriller centering on a low level FBI Agent who works in the basement of the White House, manning a phone that never rings -- until the night that it does, propelling him into a fast-moving and dangerous conspiracy that ultimately leads all the way to the Oval Office.

Michael Hogan Daily Telegraph (UK) The Night Agent has become a victim of its own success. A pale imitation of itself, phoning it in. Rated: 2/5 Jan 30, 2025 Full Review Nina Metz Chicago Tribune Tellingly, the show doesn’t want to grapple with the way Peter’s hero complex has dulled his humanity. Rated: 2/4 Jan 24, 2025 Full Review Kelly Lawler USA Today Season 2 is a little messier, a little more self-serious and at times slower than the satisfying first go-round, but "Night Agent" still delivers. Rated: 3/4 Jan 24, 2025 Full Review Marlon Wallace The M Report (WBOC.com) ...Episode 5, which is probably my favorite episode of this season. However, the dominoes that fall after that episode kick off a very strong back-half of the season. Jul 12, 2025 Full Review Mini Anthikad-Chhibber The Hindu Gabriel Basso invests his character with conviction, saving the day and the sophomore season from screeching to a sluggish stop May 16, 2025 Full Review Diana Keng Geek Girl Authority Of all the espionage thrillers out there, The Night Agent stands out for putting some realistic natural consequences to characters’ choices....watching a team regroup after a setback is fascinating when done right. The Night Agent does it all very right. Mar 13, 2025 Full Review Read all reviews

Ayesha h I loved this season, there is no need to compare it to season 1. It’s 2025, new season, new story. However, this series was quite long, but maintains the plot. Yes, there is a little too rose and not a strong chemistry or affection is shown between Rose and Peter, which according to me should have been shown. However, I liked it and one should definitely give it a watch. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 09/01/25 Full Review Melvin K Absolutely horrible. So cliche and the acting was insanely terrible. Wasn’t even comparable to the first season. I believe rose mentioned going back to California the first 4 episodes an incredibly aggravating amount of times Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 08/19/25 Full Review Andrei D Maybe try and write something new rather than stick to ideas that worked decently during the first season Rated 3 out of 5 stars 08/11/25 Full Review Liam A Absolutely amazing edge of seat popcorn in the air twists and turns and amazing actors delivering 5 star tv Rated 5 out of 5 stars 07/22/25 Full Review David D Obviously bringing him back into it makes sense but not Luciane. The plot is so similar to season 1 it really pissed me off! They blew it! Season 2 should hold its own. Not sure why the critics gave it such a high review. The audience was spot on. Don't waste your time with season 2! Sorry but keeping it real! Rated 1 out of 5 stars 07/22/25 Full Review William N Season one was a surprise hit but season two is a convuluted mess. Two many subplots and too much Rose. Rose has become one of the most annoying characters of the last year; she knows everything and can come up with anything to save the day. When she doesn't like something she pouts like a spoiled rotten kid and oh by the way she isn't even in the freaking FBI. The main protagonist isn't allowed to be the main protagonist because the female characters have to share screen time with him because you know, the world needs "girl boss" energy. The writing was subpar and the sophmore jinx strikes again. I would like to give this series another chance but it's on a short leash with me.
