Based on the novel by Matthew Quirk, The Night Agent is a sophisticated, character-based, action-thriller centering on a low level FBI Agent who works in the basement of the White House, manning a phone that never rings -- until the night that it does, propelling him into a fast-moving and dangerous conspiracy that ultimately leads all the way to the Oval Office.

The Night Agent has become a victim of its own success. A pale imitation of itself, phoning it in. Go to Full Review

Tellingly, the show doesn’t want to grapple with the way Peter’s hero complex has dulled his humanity. Go to Full Review

Season 2 is a little messier, a little more self-serious and at times slower than the satisfying first go-round, but "Night Agent" still delivers. Go to Full Review

...Episode 5, which is probably my favorite episode of this season. However, the dominoes that fall after that episode kick off a very strong back-half of the season. Go to Full Review

Of all the espionage thrillers out there, The Night Agent stands out for putting some realistic natural consequences to characters’ choices....watching a team regroup after a setback is fascinating when done right. The Night Agent does it all very right. Go to Full Review

kimya a @Kimiya Jan 16 As an Iranian who can speak the language "farsi" in the series it was so terrible the accents and the people they chose for the act . The way they showed Iran specifically Isfahan which is one of the biggest cities in Iran is insane . to the director and writer of this series do some research then decide to show a country like that . I liked the whole story in general but to me sounded so unreal and stupid when it came to Iran Everything was fake and ofc came from people who doesn’t know anything about the country and the people. See more LaShaad H @LetsBeRealistic Jan 14 This season is plagued by an unrelenting sense of unbelievability. The action is great when it's there...but 90% of the decisions in the plot are dictated by an annoying, sensitive, naive civilian girl who has no business running around in the middle of top secret CIA and FBI operations. It's just not believable, and I found myself being constantly annoyed at how unlikeable her character was, and how ridiculous her presence is at every turn. And the idea that a trained CIA operative is considering the "feelings" of this girl to make operation based decisions is laughable. They really ruined this season by forcing her to have a role in the story...she didn't. See more Zane T @ZaneThind Jan 5 This season was packed with great action, the spy thriller element and the slow burn part wrapped all into one. With a nice ending leading into the third one. Why people hate this season is one thing I do not get. See more Kaspar M @Kaspar Jan 4 This is a great political thriller. Watched it twice already on Netflix. I'm glad it's back for season 3. Looking forward to how the plot unfolds itself. See more Kim B Jan 2 Wow. Netflix brought this back knowing how bad it was. Stupidly, I thought maybe they figured out what was so bad in the first season and improved it. Nope. Somehow it’s unbelievably worse. Let it go, Netflix. Let it go. See more Edward A @Ed987654321 Dec 28 An incredible season, real fleshed out characters and complex situations at every turn, a refreshing honest take on the post trauma bond relationship and writing and acting that SLAPS Anyone giving this less than a 5 should think on their sins See more Read all reviews
