I like the settings in France- beautiful. I know some people don't like having to read subtitles with it being in another language, but it is good, it is culture. Surprised Daryl can still get caught and not be on the lookout sometimes. Decent but I miss the old crew. The kid actor being special didn't really showcase much of why he was said to be this way and I found his story line boring.

THE LAST OF US IS BETTER

      • Nov 02, 2023

it's up there with the best of the franchise, and it has a very unique tone. Reedus is magnificent. I enjoyed it a lot.

SURPRISINGLY REFRESHING AND COMPELLING! This new spin-off in The Walking Dead franchise, shares continuity with the other series and focuses on the great Daryl Dixon who washes ashore in France and embarks on a journey to protect a young boy at the heart of a benevolent religious movement from a paramilitary group of survivors. It was a great idea to find a different setting in another country in TWD universe, it is a very refreshing take that viewers will find interesting. Also, the new characters are complex and never disappoint. However, one cannot shake the feeling that the whole plot is a bit similar to 'The Last of Us', but other than that it has a great cinematography and a good set design with incredible action scenes that manage to be innovative. Also, the use of French throughout the show is a big highlight, but it is too convenient that all the main characters speak English too.

Think it wasted a lot of time talking .. because when the action kicked off it was bloody brilliant! Nothing can get quite as good as walking dead

      • Oct 26, 2023

I Love Daryl from the original series. He's a great character to have his own story line. The story is interesting, held my attention well. Great to see these main characters find good people outside the main group, also across the ocean! He has Such a masculine energy, very refreshing.

      • Oct 23, 2023

Show ain't perfect, but it has all the vibes from the original show. It has returned to its core. There are a few fundamental errors that don't necessarily takes away from the experience pf the main TWD . My low has to be only for the burner walkers, they kinda went to Mila's Resident Evil here, and we all know those films kinda suck. Overall, storytelling is quite good, the story isn't bad at all, just hope the religious stuff doesn't end in real religious stuff, cause that'll take a lot from that universe. These spinoffs are WAY… WAAAAAAY better than World Beyond and everything that came after season 3 of FTWD. I hope season 2, with Carol just doesn't drag since her character sort of went downhill after TWD season 5

Unreal! Really hope they continue this show!

      • Oct 21, 2023

Essa série tem bastante a oferecer , mas não aproveita suas oportunidades

      • Oct 21, 2023

Daryl Dixon is a dark miniseries worthy of the protagonist, a lost man seeking a cause greater than himself. The setting in the old world is gothic and depressing, charming and rustic, terrifying and foreboding - watching Daryl trudge through the ruined glories of France, beauty and horror intertwined. Just like any other Walking Dead show, there are pockets of human survivors with their specific missions, mandates and cultures. One in particular, formed and led by youth, was particularly touching and moving. There are always megalomaniacs in these series and Genet does not disappoint as a French iron lady determined to build a new French republic, to make the hard decisions. All her motivations are not fully revealed and I hope future seasons continue the thread. The religious and destiny-driven aspect of the show, combined with the "holy child" Laurent, adds a layer of mystery and wonder. Daryl is the furthest from a believer you can imagine, but he responds to a higher calling. I hope this journey continues to another season. It almost feels like Daryl is on a pilgrimage of redemption and self-discovery, perhaps the path to faith. But the real question is, will he find happiness as has opined two young souls so far?
