You wisely wraps things up just before Joe Goldberg's murderous machinations become stale, delivering a final season that ought to satisfy most viewers' morbid curiosity.

Saloni Gajjar AV Club You's final season is sadly drawn-out and confounding. While Penn Badgley is still terrifyingly great at playing a menace, and he’s joined by a captivating Madeline Brewer this time around, the show struggles to stick its (predictable) landing. Rated: C+ May 6, 2025 Full Review Eric Deggans NPR This show always offers compelling twists, lending a few surprises to a storyline which is otherwise kind of predictable and a little overwrought -- to say nothing of the whole "making viewers root for a serial killer" thing. May 1, 2025 Full Review Cristina Escobar RogerEbert.com The show sees and names our guilt, giving us perhaps a better ending than we deserve. Apr 25, 2025 Full Review Abby Monteil The Daily Beast If You Season 5 has a fatal flaw, it’s how muddled the show has allowed its satire to become. Joe’s kills have grown increasingly sloppy, but across the first three seasons, its sharp social satire never wavered. Jun 11, 2025 Full Review Sharai Bohannon Anatomy of a Scream Podcast Network The final season of 'You' is still surprisingly addictive, frustrating, and interesting as most seasons of the series. Anna Camp does a lot of heavy lifting, but Penn Badgley is locked in again and what a sight to be behold. May 23, 2025 Full Review Mini Anthikad-Chhibber The Hindu Bibliophile serial killer, Joe Goldberg’s triumphant return to the Big Apple is marred by old and new threats in the ludicrous final season May 16, 2025 Full Review Read all reviews

Ali R It started really well, but it was so rushed on the season. And swear to god ending was made by chatgpt. The most stupidest ending ive ever seen on a tv show. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 07/15/25 Full Review Dylan M This was one of the worst seasons of TV I have watched. From the unlikable random new bronte character, to all the crazy twists with no explanation, this season was clearly rushed or maybe even written by AI. I can not recommend it, maybe boomers will like idk who the target audience is cause this was so ass. The ending was terrible. This is more personal but I wish they let literally any other character than Brontë give him his comeuppance. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 07/10/25 Full Review Chris L Season 5 of You was amazing, except for the last 5 minutes. So many twists and turns and drama ruined by sell out lazy writing in the last 5 minutes to wrap things up. I can't stand when movies and series resort to last second lazy story telling to tie things up and make things fit a preconceived narrative. It's pitiful to write such good twists just to erase them at the end so that things play it safe and "baby proof" the storyline for the easily offended. Left a bitter taste in my mouth in the last 5 minutes that ruined a good thing... Rated 2 out of 5 stars 07/10/25 Full Review Timothy H Ruined such a great series with the most lazy ending ever. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 07/10/25 Full Review Амир Н worst ending ever of the greatest show Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 07/09/25 Full Review Tashfin A Although it felt a little lacklustre sometimes because of how abrasive Brontë felt, I still think the story was befitting of our main character, so I was satisfied overall!
