Inspired by her older sister, stage and screen actress Abigail Droeger, Meredith Droeger took up acting and has since appeared in several films and TV series. After appearing in national TV commercial campaigns for companies like Martin's Super Markets and Toys 'R' Us, Droeger made the jump to film when she was cast as a frightened young girl in the comedy short "Train Town." The film, which won an award from the Chicago International Film Festival, led to Droeger scoring a small but memorable role in an episode of the cable series "The Beast," about a morally-challenged FBI agent (Patrick Swayze, in his final role) and his double-crossing partner. She made her feature film debut in the 2010 medical drama "Extraordinary Measures" as Megan Crowley, a young girl afflicted with a terminal disease which her powerful father (Brendan Fraser) tries to cure by teaming up with a research scientist (Harrison Ford). Though the film spent only a few weeks in the theaters, Droeger's performance as the brave Megan caught the eye of casting director Claire Simon, who promptly offered Droeger a role in the indie drama "The Last Rites of Joe May" as a young girl who helps the title hustler re-think his life.
