Alan Cox
Alan Cox is an an actor who started his entertainment career at the age of 12. He also was featured in the miniseries "The Odyssey" (1997). He appeared in a number of television specials, including "Adam Bede" (PBS, 1991) and "Brian Cox on Acting in Tragedy" (1991-92). He worked in series television while getting his start in acting, including a part on "Penmarric" (1982-83). He also landed a role in the miniseries "John Adams" (2008). Following that project, he acted on the silver screen, including roles in "Mrs. Dalloway" (1998) with Vanessa Redgrave, "The Auteur Theory" (1999) and "Ladies in Lavender" (2005) with Maggie Smith. He also appeared in the Josh Hartnett drama "August" (2008). Alan Cox's more recent roles included the Sacha Baron Cohen comedy "The Dictator" (2012), the comedic drama "Act Naturally" (2013) with Katie L. Hall and "Before We Go" (2015). He held additional roles in television including a part on "The Good Wife" (CBS, 2009-2016). Alan Cox's distinctive voice can be heard on the Elle Fanning music-packed adaptation "The Nutcracker in 3D" (2010). Most recently, Alan Cox acted in the drama "Christine" (2016) with Rebecca Hall.
