Birthday: Jul 15, 1966

Birthplace: Los Angeles, California, USA

The daughter of famed producer John Foreman ("Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid"), actress Amanda Foreman followed in her father's footsteps to a career in the entertainment industry, starting out in high school plays and moving toward a successful film and television acting career. Dark-haired, with striking and expressive eyes and a flair for the dramatic to which the camera responded well, Foreman had an early television credit in the 1989 TV-movie "The Preppie Murder," an ABC offering based on the infamous Central Park homicide. Her next effort was in the similarly fact-based "Murder Without Motive: The Edmund Perry Story" (NBC, 1992). 1992 also saw the actress make her big screen debut with a part in the sentimental Mel Gibson drama "Forever Young." "Live Wire," a political thriller, also featured Foreman and was aired that same year on HBO. She continued to rack up credits, appearing in 1993's "Sliver," and turning in an impressive starring performance in Laura Dern's directorial debut "The Gift" (aired on Showtime in 1994).
