Initially working towards a career as a film editor or a graphic designer, Aristomenis Tsirbas moved to Los Angeles after graduating from Concordia University, where he majored in film production. The Canadian-born Tsirbas always loved creating profoundly layered and visually arresting imagery, and was fortunate enough to find work helping to edit James Cameron's massively-budgeted ship-sinking success "Titanic," and also began to work on a number of high-profile advertising campaigns for companies like Nike, 7-Up and Coca-Cola. Between the years 2000 and 2003, Tsirbas was also the director of a number of different and successful animated short films including "Ray Tracey In Full Tilt," "Microsoft's Mech Warrior: Vengeance" and "The Freak. In addition to his work as a director, Tsirbas has also worked as a visual effects supervisor, creating the brilliantly layered look of many movies such as Miramax's "A Wrinkle In Time," Disney's "My Favorite Martian," and "Star Trek: Deep Space 9" which was released by Paramount Studios. In 2007 Tsirbas directed "Battle for Terra," an animated film featuring the voices of David Cross, Rosanna Arquette, and Chris Evans. In 2004, he directed his very first music video, for New Wave pop group Tears for Fears' song "Closest Thing to Heaven."
