Bérénice Marlohe
Born of mixed French, Chinese, and Cambodian heritage, Bérénice Marlohe did not look like the typical French actress. This, she was told, would drastically inhibit her career. The multi-lingual, multi-talented model-turned-actress merely took that as a challenge, immersing herself in a theatrical education, and taking French television by storm with a steady stream of small parts and guest roles in television movies and on popular series. It was her deadpan delivery in a commercial for Renault's Dacia Duster that brought her to the attention of casting directors seeking an exotic beauty to match wits with James Bond in "Skyfall" (2012) the 23rd outing in venerable film franchise. Marlohe, a Bond fan who had sent her acting reel to anyone and everyone who might have been able to help her secure an audition, was stunned to learn that she had been named the newest in that long tradition of 007's femme fatales. Smart, sexy, exotically beautiful and wildly ambitious, Bérénice Marlohe was the picture perfect Bond Girl.
