Biff McGuire

Biff McGuire is a veteran stage and screen actor, having appeared in over 75 roles in his lengthy career. McGuire caught the acting bug while stationed overseas in England during the Second World War. He made his debut in the first production of William Saroyan's "The Time of Your Life" and met his wife Jeannie Carson in 1960 when both were cast in the satirical musical "Finian's Rainbow." They married that same year and toured in the 1961 production of another hit song-and-dance production--"Camelot." In his early career, McGuire worked extensively in television, with bit roles on the legal drama "The Defenders" and the suspense series "Alfred Hitchcock Presents." McGuire's first notable film role was a supporting part on the 1968 heist classic "The Thomas Crown Affair," opposite Steve McQueen. Although sideman roles continued in such films as the corruption drama "Serpico" (as a police captain) and the loopy horror flick "The Werewolf of Washington" (as the President of the United States), McGuire continued to earn his greatest exposure on the small screen, earning credits on hit sitcoms like "Growing Pains" and "Frasier" as well as hard-hitting crime dramas like "Kojak" and "Hawaii Five-O."
