Bill Maynard's acting talents were showcased on the big screen many times throughout the course of his career. Maynard's early acting career consisted of roles in big screen comedies like "Till Death Do Us Part" (1969) with Warren Mitchell and Dandy Nichols, "Carry on Loving" (1970) and "One More Time" (1970) starring Sammy Davis Jr.. He also appeared in "Confessions of a Window Cleaner" (1974) starring Robin Askwith and "Confessions of a Pop Performer" (1975) with Robin Askwith. His film career continued throughout the seventies in productions like the John Alderton drama "It Shouldn't Happen to a Vet" (1975), the Sean Connery historical love story "Robin and Marian" (1976) and the children "Sky Pirates" (1976) with Adam Richens. He also appeared in "Confessions From a Holiday Camp" (1977) and "All Things Bright And Beautiful" (1978). Film continued to be his passion as he played roles in the comedy "Hear My Song" (1991) with Ned Beatty and the action picture "Oddball Hall" (1991) with Don Ameche. He also was featured in the TV movie "Filipina Dreamgirls" (BBC 1, 1991-92). Maynard's distinctive voice can be heard on "The Plague Dogs" (1982) with Warren Mitchell. Maynard appeared on "We Stand Alone Together: The Men of Easy Company" (HBO, 2001-02). Bill Maynard died after suffering a broken hip in a fall on March 30, 2018. He was 89.
