Boaz Konforty
Born in Israel in 1974, Boaz Konforty didn't start acting for the screen until the age of 25, when he debuted in an episode of the Israeli show "Ha-Chevre Ha-Tovim" (1999-2002). Even after that first credit, he didn't see a steady amount of acting gigs until the early 2010s. He worked up the ladder of guest spots on Israeli shows until he first appeared in mystery show "Zaguri" (2014- ) and the thriller "Hostages" (2013- ), both Hebrew-speaking shows in Israel. Around this same time, he started playing his most memorable role of Avichay in the political thriller "Fauda" (Netflix 2015- ), which was brought over to American audiences on Netflix in late 2016. "Fauda" was Konforty's first role that reached an international American audience, though he remained largely focused on Hebrew TV and film, appearing in the show "Neighborhood" (2014- ) during its second season as well as showing up in the film "Driver" (2017).
