Boleslav Polivka

Boleslav Polívka was an actor who had a successful Hollywood career. Early on in his acting career, Polívka landed roles in various films, including "Sasek a Kralovna" (1988), "Sitting Pretty on a Branch" (1990) and the comedy "The Elementary School" (1991) with Jan Triska. He also appeared in the comedy "The Inheritance" (1993) with Miroslav Donutil and the comedy "Accumulator 1" (1994) with Petr Forman. He continued to work steadily in film throughout the early 2000s, appearing in the comedy "Eliska ma rada divocinu" (2000) with Zuzana Stivinova, the drama "Cesta z Mesta" (2000) with Tomas Hanak and "Wild Flowers" (2000). He also appeared in "Vyhnani z Raje" (2001). In his more recent career, he continued to act in "Svatba Na Bitevnim Poli" (2008), "U Me Dobry" (2008) and "Male Oslavy" (2008). He also appeared in the Jiri Menzel foreign "Operace Dunaj" (2009) and the Tomáš Matonoha comedic adaptation "Ulovit miliardare" (2009). Polívka most recently acted in "Home Care" (2015).
