Bryan Spicer

Bryan Spicer is a director and producer working primarily in television. He started his career in the industry as an associate producer for the detective drama "Hunter," in 1984, and by the late 1980s he had gotten his feet wet directing. In 1990, he became a frequent director for the comedy "Parker Lewis Can't Lose," directing 21 episodes over its first two seasons. In 1993 and '94, Spicer directed six episodes of the family sci-fi series "SeaQuest 2032," before diverting his career onto the big screen for a few years. In 1995, he directed an adaptation of the series "Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: The Movie," which more than doubled its take at the box office. He followed that effort up in 1997 with a movie adaptation of the TV series, "McHale's Navy," which bombed, followed by his direction of the Tim Allen and Kirstie Alley comedy "For Richer or Poorer," which broke about even. Back firmly in television in the 2000s, Spicer's directing gigs included 12 episodes of the hit action-terrorism series "24," from 2001 to '07, as well as recurring jobs with the crime dramas "Killer Instinct"--where he was also a supervising producer--and "In Plain Sight," among multiple other series. Spicer rounded out the decade directing 10 episodes of the crime mystery "Castle," about a New York mystery author who becomes an invaluable ally to a detective team that he follows out into the field.
